We have a brand new side pocket skirt in an amazing custom owl print by Sydney illustrator Andrea Smith who has illustrated our other favourite print this season, the fire fire. This beautiful watercolour owl design is soft and fun, with a hint of vintage elegance. The soft sea foam green base colour is perfect for this glorious weather we’ve been having and will transition into winter easily with dark tights and neutral colours. This truly is a very special piece with extremely limited numbers available. The skirt retails at $135 and is a great fit and cut. The gathering has been taken from the side of the skirt to create a smooth line on the hips and flatters all body shapes. It can also be worn on the hip or high waisted, depending on what you prefer for your shape. Get in quick these are sure to fly off the shelves, available online and instore now.

me and oli website!!
Its not often that we come across a truly AMAZING website, but our lovely friend Lalita from Me and Oli, along with her talented partner have produced one!
Me and Oli are a long time favorite of Made590. Having worked with Lalita on the Roomance print that she designed exclusively for Made590, we knew that when this website launched that it is was going to be original, unique and well just pretty much fantastic.
From the first page of the website you know that are going to be purchasing! Me and Oli’s prints are one of a kind and the shapes are so different but timeless at the same time, I fell in love with the ‘a mosey dress’ (and had to have two!)
I personally know how hard Me and Oli worked on this website and the many, many hours it took to get built. Like any small business it’s a lot of hard work with a huge amount of time put in after their day jobs finish (I am imagining quite a few late nights here!). A massive congratulations has to be made to Lalita and her hubby for being perfectionists, it certainly shows in the design and the products!
So what are you waiting for? Start shopping!

New look Made590 Website!
This season we decided to give the website a whole new look, have you noticed?
The amazing Emma, in her new job role, has been taking many photos of all our new stock, deep etching them and then adding a cute background. Our clothing page now looks super pretty:

This process is a lot more time consuming and tedious but I am sure you will agree that the website looks far prettier! A big thank you goes out to Emma for being such a perfectionist!!
We also have a new character on our home page:
This season our deer mannequin features with our new Black Cardy, Roomance Skirt and Red Basic Tee, yay!
I am horribly biased but I think we have one of the best websites around, this is all thanks to the amazing duo of white pixels as well as Emma and Kelly who spend hours loading up products, facebooking and blogging. This is a side to the business that a lot of people don’t see how much work goes into and that I love because the magic elves just make it happen
Over the last 7 years Made590 is extremely lucky to have had the best staff ever, I am honored to have and continue to work with such lovely, hardworking girls. They have all put up with all my stresses, 2 pregnancies/babies, tradeshows, the launch of the mega wholesale business and oh how the list goes on….. I hope you love the Made590 girls as much as me!! Christina xx
Made590 in Time Out Magazine!!
YAY! We are so excited and thankful for the super lovely mention in the latest TIME OUT Magazine….. We are not that fantastic at chasing press and advertising so it was very flattering that such a great, well read magazine approached us and took a super cute photo of our display!
Whats even better is that a page on there is another photo of a local customer wearing one our tees, yay! So go out and buy the latest issue of Time Out and read all about ‘the best of the inner west’.
Thanks a million Time Out xx

Foxes in the stars- new made590 print!
This coming Spring/Summer I have been working with some amazing artists and designers producing fantastic, original prints exclusively for Made590. This new design I am about to show you is one of my favourites and I have been living in the new skirt that has just arrived in store!
Foxes in the stars was created by Kell from The Story Book Rabbit and put together by Lyndsay from Candy stripe Cloud (to make things more confusing they are also both Made by White AND sisters!)
I gave Kell the ‘stars’ image and asked her to draw some foxies scattered and leaping throughout the stars. For pretty much the first time ever the first draft submitted was approved- shows how well Kell knows me!!
+original drawing Kell sent through+
The foxes were exactly what I wanted, they have a playfulness without being to cartoony or kiddy. I love the personality that they have, like all Kell’s drawings you want to pick them up off the paper or in this case fabric and give them a cuddle.
Off went the design to Lynds who put it all together and got it print ready. Contrast is always the key into printing fine lines- black as black and white as white can be. The difference with this print is that it is yardage not placement- meaning that it is all over the fabric, selvage to selvage. This is something that I personally cannot print as you need 10 metre tables, so naturally we used our good friends over at Publisher Textiles!
It was fantastic creating our own made590 yardage print, as a designer is nice to know that nobody else will have our fabric (its like walking down the street and seeing somebody in the same outfit as you- disaster!).
for ‘foxes in the stars’ we have created 3 different styles (to keep everyone happy!)

As usual it was great working with Kell and Lynds, two girls that always seem to be able to read my mind, aaah what would I do without you both?? Christina xx
…Stay tuned for some other great collaborations with Kell from The Story Book Rabbit
