Edie Dress Winter Lorikeets Breakfast

Edie Dress Winter Lorikeets Breakfast

Price: $165.00

We’ve made the perfect little loose and flowing dress, she is softly gathered at the waist and layers perfectly! For winter we have added a beautiful flowing sleeve which is the perfect fullness and loose on the arm.

FEATURES: Edie is born from our love of wearing soft, loose bamboo and wanting something that looks effortlessly cool without any accessories or effort! She is a lovely easy cut, with rounded neckline and slight extended sleeve at the shoulder and she has a sweet keyhole and button detail at the back. We love the loose versatility of Edie for so many reasons, she feels great to wear in our soft, light bamboo, but she has a wonderful loose silhouette that isn’t too full or too puffy either, we’ve eliminated gathering from the sides of the skirt to make the hip area softer and a better shape that doesn’t add bulk, but kept in the front of the skirt to add detail and fullness at the hips. The waistline is set at a higher point where she can be belted, but she doesn’t need to be, especially on days where you want no fuss or on a scorcher where you want to be cool. The sleeve we have created is perfect for a dressy occasion and comfy enough for every day wear too. We were also very onto making sure the sleeve is wide enough for larger arms. We love this long sleeve Edie which is so loose and comfy and the soft layers are so lovely to wear. Because of the light weight fabrics it means you can wear the longer sleeve well into summer as it is a great length that stops at the mid forearm. The length of the skirt hits at the knee or just below on most, making her so versatile with layers, perfect with our leggings for a comfy casual look. In fact, that may be all we want to wear from now on, she’s THAT comfy.

HOW TO WEAR: Edie is a shape that is great worn as-is, but she is also one of those pieces you can buy to layer later on. The open extension sleeve looks great with a long sleeve top underneath, and she works perfectly paired with one of our wool cardigans in winter. We also love the fact Edie’s loose shape through the body gives the illusion of more length because the fall of the fabric and drape of the skirt. Wear Edie with a pair of stockings with boots in winter to dress her up. She looks great belted, but has enough shape that she works well without accessories. And shes the perfect shape for a hot summer day, giving you room to breathe but also flattering your figure. Edies’s simple neckline works well with just about any accessory, be it brooch, necklace or big statement earrings. You’ll be especially happy with the side pockets which fit your phone, keys and other junk you accumulate daily. We love the length of the new winter sleeve which sits at the mid forearm on most.

BUT DOES IT HAVE POCKETS?: Absolutely! Edie has two side pockets which are practical but hidden when not in use.

PRINT: Lorikeets Breakfast by Kirbee Lawler for made590.
FABRIC: 100% bamboo. Lightweight and cool in the heat. Same fabric base as our digitally printed Evelyn tops and Ella Skirts. This fabric has a tendency to tighten in the wash and may need to be steamed or ironed on a low to medium steam setting to relax the fibres again after washing. Please do not panic as it will come back to its original size and shape. Also if you stretch and flatten your garment while wet after a delicates wash and hang it on a hanger to dry this will also mean it should keep its original length and size much better.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large scale of this print, print placement will vary so please be aware it may not look exactly the same as the garment photographed and may include elements which are upside down, sideways or otherwise different to the photos shown on the website.

Please scroll to the bottom of the listing for our size chart, these are taken unstretched.
