We are super excited about the arrival of our new Jacqui merino jumpers! If you’re looking for the perfect 100% merino jumper to pair with all our other cute winter pieces, then look no further! This piece pairs as well with jeans, as it does our skirts.
FEATURES: This 100% mercerised merino wool jumper is knitted locally by our very special knitter who we have worked with for over 10 years! Knitting locally is something we are passionate about and also allows us to pick and choose our own colours! The mercerisation of the merino cleverly means there will be minimal pilling and that the fibres will last longer and not get fuzzy after a few wears, which is a win win for everyone! We want you to be wearing these special knits for years to come, and these classic shapes will work so well with our other winter pieces that we wish we’d thought of it sooner. We already live in our Clementine Cardigans, so these jumpers will work perfectly for jeans, skirts and even over our pinafores! Jacqui features a mid length (not cropped or long-line, just right!) which can be worn shorter by tucking the rib under or belting over the top with high waisted skirt and dresses, or wear as a nice hip grazing length as-is with jeans. The ribbed waistband is designed to pull the bottom in slightly and make silhouette come in at your waist, showing off your best features! We love the textured knit which gives this piece a lovely warm look without too much bulk. The jumper itself is light and beautifully soft (no itch at all!) and means you will be super warm without the bulkiness of chunky knits. We cannot say enough good things about these beautiful classic jumpers, we are sure they’ll become a wardrobe staple you’ll want to own in several colours.
HOW TO WEAR: This jumper is a great piece for winter and is able to be worn as a layer with lots of different outfits. You can take it on trips to the park or wear it to the office and then out to dinner afterwards! Worn with your favourite brooch or scarf this piece is sure to become a favourite on high rotation! We will be wearing ours with our Petra Pinafores (underneath as a layer and on top for extra warmth), our Petra mini skirts (just the right length and shape to wear together) and with some fun jeans on the weekends! The slightly longer length works well to keep you warm and snuggly, without feeling like its too fancy to wear just around the house or to the park with the kids. We also love these Jacqui jumpers worn with tailored pants or suits for work, but they look equally as good with our colourful printed skirts. The texture of this knit adds interest to any plain outfit, so choose a sightly brighter tone to change the feel of a bold print you’d normally wear with something dark. Jacqui is the perfect mix of subtle pattern with fun wintery colours, and it will be a tough choice as to which one we will choose to wear each day!

KNIT: Basket knit with a basket look and a looser weave than a lot of our knits. This knit has the most stretch compared to all other knits and we recommend this knit to anyone who wants a soft feel and a looser fit which is super comfy. Fits true to size for a semi fitted feel, if you want a tight fit size down, if you want a loose fit size up. Please note this knit will soften the more you wear it, but it also still keeps it shape well.
COLOUR: This is the same lavender we used for our flannel flower cardigan this winter. It is a lovely soft lavender with dusty undertones, less lilac/pink/light mauve and more like a mid lavender, we would not consider it in the pastel range of purple.
MODEL SIZES: Phee wears size S for photos and normally wears XS in cardigans.
Please note some people have gone up a size to avoid the knit being too fitted, if you prefer a loose fitting garment, size up as these knits are shaped to fit your body and are not oversized. When you first put on your jumper, this is the smallest it will be as the fibres have not yet relaxed. Your knit will soften and give over time from your body heat, friction during wear and also the knit fibres having natural give over time, after being steamed and shrunk right down during production before they are sewn together. Please take care when putting on your knit and don't pull at the sleeves and seams, gently ease onto your arm gradually, especially when putting on over layers.
FABRIC: 100% Mercerised Merino Wool.
