Joylene Jumper Sage
Our brand new shape for winter is this cute, practical but super pretty Joylene Jumper! She’s a 70’s inspired shape with an insert v-shaped panel of knit at the front, this knit is subtle but fun with a fitted rib band at the bottom. She’s locally knitted, made with 100% mercerised merino and is a new favourite with the made590 ladies.
FEATURES: This 100% mercerised merino wool jumper is knitted locally by our very special Sydney knitter Bill, who we have worked with for over 10 years! Knitting locally is something we are passionate about and also allows us to pick and choose our own colours! The mercerisation of the merino cleverly means there will be minimal pilling and that the fibres will last longer and not get fuzzy after a few wears. Our brand new Joylene jumper features a perfect mid length which works wonders for in between weather, but is also a dressier look with it's fitted body and ribbed band which means it can be worn over a dress or with a full skirt tucked in. The ribbed waistband is designed to pull the bottom in slightly and make silhouette come in at your waist, showing off your best features! The length ends at the hip, and is not super long but not cropped either. Our classic crew neckline is lovely on many frames and will be a warm shape for those super chilly days. We love the subtle textured knit panel which gives this cardigan a lovely warm look without too much bulk. The overall knit is wonderfully light, a lighter weight than our usual cardigans but in the same wool. The jumper itself is never too heavy to carry in your handbag all day, but the merino is warm enough to prevent you getting caught out on a chilly day too. The ribbed sleeves are also great for keeping the cold out!
HOW TO WEAR: This jumper is a great piece for winter and is able to be worn as a layer with lots of different outfits. You can take it on trips to the park or wear it to the office and then out to dinner afterwards! Worn with your favourite brooch this jumper is sure to become a favourite of your wardrobe! We love to layer our jumpers over a dress and go for block colour or a printed under layer. We love the look of our jumpers as a top, you can crop under the length and wear them belted, or wear them under our pinafores. We are sure there are a lot of you who wear your jumpers with jeans and Joylene is a nice option for that because she has a bit of a waistline. We love the cut of this jumper for her femininity and nod to the 70’s styling, we find a lot of jumpers can end up a bit bulky for everyday wear, whereas Jolene is soft, light weight and lovely for days where it is chilly as an outer layer, but can be layered on freezing days. We love the look, but also the practicality of the piece to slot into your existing wardrobe. She is also a new shape so we recommend you check our size chart and compare measurements to a jumper you love. She has a good amount of stretch and will give over time so this will give you the option of wearing her neat and fitted, or soft and loose.

SIZING NOTES: This 100% merino version is lovely and soft and has a lot of stretch compared to the pink lurex Joylene, and is ever so slightly smaller than the Capitol Blue. Stay your normal size (Kell and Chris both fit the Small as normal) unless you want it larger for layers. This is similar sizing to the Jacqui jumpers, but it has more give as it is a lighter gauge knit. The flat knit also wears softer and more drapey than the thick texture of the Jacqui shape. This is a slightly shorter more dressy option than a Jacqui. Please note that when you first put on your knit, this is the smallest it will be as the fibres have not yet relaxed. Your knit will soften and give over time so don't be afraid to stick with a size if it feels snug initially. We recommend you get a size if it will button smoothly over your chest. Wool will give at least 1-2cm so don't be afraid to keep a size that is initially snug. Please take care when putting on your knit and don’t pull onto your arm at the end of the sleeves, as this will break the inner arm seams (wear the knit is sewn together) and create open seams. Instead gently ease sleeves onto your arm and allow the cardigan time to relax.
Christina wears size Small for photos.
FABRIC: 100% Australian Mercerised Merino Wool
CARE: We recommend treating your cardigans as carefully as possible, to allow you to wear them for years to come. We wash ours only when really needed, as wool is a very breathable and resilient fibre. To wash place your cardigan in a delicates bag, wash only with mild wool wash detergent, on a delicates cycle. Alternatively a soft hand wash using wool detergent will keep your cardigan looking even better for longer. Never wring, rub or bleach your cardigan.
COLD WATER WASH ONLY. Reshape when wet and allow to dry laying flat in shade. Do not wash with anything that might rub or create pulls in the wool. If you do snag your cardigan on something, pull the thread gently to the inside of your cardigan and NEVER cut the threads, this will unravel the knit and create a hole. Wash at the end of the season (to avoid moth damage, they like to eat the dirty bits of wool!) and store your cardigan with cedar balls when not being worn, as moths find these 100% wool cardigans very tasty!
