Petra Pinafore A Garden Tale
This great little pinafore is a firm favourite of the made590 ladies, we've been wearing ours all year round and love to layer this cutie going into winter! Infact, we love her so much she is now part of our Every Body range, which means she is now available in inclusive sizing to a 4X.
FEATURES: This cute little Petra pinafore is a wonderful piece to wear going into winter, we love the clean cut of this shift style pinafore and the look of it with printed layers. We will be wearing ours with stripey tops and cute printed blouses underneath. She is a simple cut with cute details like double stitched seams and angled pockets on the front to add interest. We love her squared neckline and little tuck detail which adds interest. We love the angled pockets which add some fun to a simple shape which is great worn with fun accessories, but stands alone within your wardrobe. We love the loose shape and modest cut of this pinafore, (we have used a similar block for our pinafore as the fit we use for the Penelope dress) which is lovely worn with a long sleeve top underneath, or a cute blouse with a cap or longer sleeve. We love the feature front angled pockets and working button detail on the strap which makes this a breast feeding friendly piece too, perfect for new mums! The buttons also means the strap length can be adjusted if you are taller or larger in the bust to make the strap longer by a few centimetres and to give you a bit of extra room. Or wear it done up on the shorter setting to cover your bra when wearing it as a strappy dress without layers. This will give the ultimate coverage at the side/underarm. We love our pinafore because it is a versatile staple which you can wear for years to come. We love the plain versions with prints underneath, or the printed pinafores with our basic Sybil tops and shorter sleeved basics underneath. We love our pinafore because it is so easy to wear with a layer and has just the right amount of swing through the hips to wear with stockings and boots.
HOW TO WEAR: We love this cute little pinafore worn as is with a light layer underneath, we love this shape with a scoop neck top or a higher neck shape such as a skivvy. We love a stripe top under a bold print, or a plain version with one of our printed blouses like Evelyn or Ginny. We love this pinafore with a bit of a pattern clash, or worn to work with colour blocked contrast colours. Try a pinafore with one of our famous Clementine cardigans for winter warmth and layer her up with scarves, brooches or even a belt to accessorise. The length hits at just above the knee on most heights and is slightly shorter on tall frames. This length works amazingly with boots in winter and we will be layering ours with our new leggings which are soft enough to wear under this piece for it to work well. We love the pinafore worn in summer too with a little t-shirt underneath, as the fabrics we have used are lightweight enough to work all year round. We also love it in summer for the beach, wear it with your swimmers underneath as the cut sits along the shape of your bra line, so it is quite fun worn as a strappy dress. Petra is a fun, versatile shape we are sure you will love wearing as much as we do.
